Significant City History

The first known permanent European settlement of Santa Rosa
was the homestead of the Carrillo family.

Famed director Alfred Hitchcock filmed his thiller Shadow of a
Doubt in Santa Rosa in 1943.

For over 30 years, Santa Rosa was home to Charles M. Schulz,
 the world-famous cartoonist and creator of the beloved
comic strip Peanuts.
