4-19-08 Snow Flurries Print
For the first time in about a week I was finally able to sleep in. It felt so good to get a decent night's sleep. When I woke up I felt refreshed and ready to face the day.  We got all of our stuff packed and ready to go, and headed out.

It was really fun because, when I was in the car with Jennifer, Paul, Jacob, and Deanna we all got to exchange stories which was great. This made the morning car ride fly by. The next thing I knew it was my turn to ride a bike.

My ride was amazing! I only had a few up hills and quite a few down hills, which made the ride easy. Also I was lucky enough to see the ocean on my ride. It was absolutely gorgeous. The weather was perfect too! When I rode it was sunny and there was just enough breeze to make the ride not too much of a hassle. I was kind of sad to get off my bike when I stopped.

When we all stopped, we drew names for a writing project made by Thomsen. The project was, to pick a name out of a hat and write a synopsis about the person. It will be very interesting to see what everyone has to say.

For the next couple of miles I called a bunch of contacts confirmed the events for today. I was just about done, when all of a sudden Tyrone yelled, “Look elk”. We all turned our heads and there were elk! We made Drew pull over so we could take pictures. All of the elk looked at us once, and then went back to eating. We left with some great photos.

The rest of the day went by in a blur. I was really out of it so I didn’t remember a whole lot. I fell asleep a couple of times, but I woke up whenever there was service so I could call people. This is how my day was pretty much spent.

At one point in the day we had to split up because of our events. It was the usual group of Sydney, Arielle, Tim and I in one car and everyone else stayed behind and rode bicycles. It started to snow on our way to Ashland, which was really neat. However we were really running behind so we missed the event in Ashland.

But we were not going to give up on Medford! We drove as fast as we could, to try and be there on time. At 4:05 pm we were pulling up to city hall. We had to explain to the people that we got separated from our group. Luckily the people were very considerate, and we still got to talk about our trip. I got interviewed again, but I still haven’t been able to see myself on TV. Oh well!

When we left Medford the snow really started to pick up. I loved seeing all of the white and when the snowflakes would fall on the windows you could see the patterns. I fell asleep again, and when I woke up we were back in Grants Pass.
I am so glad that we finally got to a hotel early. We got pictures of us taken by Jim from the Daily Courier. He was really nice, and loved what we are doing.

Well I’m going to stop writing now….
