4-03-08 Rain Rain Go Away Print
Okay so when I heard that we were taking a southern route, my first thoughts were sun. Hahaha, that’s a joke! So far we have only had one decent day of sun, and the the rest have been rainy or cloudy. Ugh! I was really looking forward to getting a tan. Anyway the morning was okay, but for some odd reason my alarm clock hasn’t been loud enough to wake me up. I think I’m going to stick to hotel alarms from now on. We are currently on our way to Athens, GA. We are supposed to go to a elementary school, but the rain is making it really hard to get there! Well I’ll check in later today, bye!

Okay I’m back! All right, well we did make it to the elementary school, but we were running late due to thunderstorms and, not to mention, a cow that was walking in the middle of the highway! At first we were wondering why traffic was so bad, but then I spotted the cow and I was like holy crap there’s a cow! Hahaha! But anyway we met up with the police escort in Watkinsville, GA and they led us to the grade school. Along the way we bicycled by the University of Georgia and so many beautiful fraternity and sorority houses, but sadly I didn’t have my camera with me! When we got to Chase Elementary a bunch of grade-schoolers were there to greet us! As we rode up to them Jacob couldn't unclip his pedal and fell over.  It was pretty funny but I felt bad for him , it was really embarrassing with all the kids and cameras there.  After greeting everyone, we were asked to help finish planting their tree. It was very cool as we grabbed handfuls of mulch and tossed it next to the tree. I got interviewed for the first time and accidentally said the wrong overnight city, which totally embarrassed me! Ugh! After a quick lunch, we headed out for Atlanta, GA. Well that’s all I can think of to write so stay tuned in!

P.S – Those who have sun right now, cherish it because its supposed to storm again tomorrow!
