I woke up 0800 after my Dad knocked on the door and then we went downstairs to have breakfast. I had bacon, cereal, OJ, and French toast. We left the hotel late and got on the rode by noon because there were bad storms leftover from the night before. When we stopped for gas Jen took out the football and we played some catch and then it was time to ride. Today we got to ride on Route 66. My dad told me to take the lead for the leg and I did for the first 15 miles. At one point the road turned into the freeway so we picked up our bikes and walked through a hole in the fence to get back on our road. We rode some more and then it was starting to get dark and the road was getting hard to follow so we got off the bikes and headed into this small town to find a bathroom and get a snack. When Jen went to this store to get some water this crazy guy named Harley came out and said we needed to come in and see their shop. Him and his wife Annabelle had this crazy shop with all kinds of stuff about Route 66. Then they put on a show for us, with music and singing and gave us all sodas. They said that they were going to be in the new Disney exhibit for the movie Cars. They were funny and they liked to tease certain people especially Tyrone. We stayed for about 30 minutes and took some pictures with them and then it was time to get to the hotel in Tucumcari, NM.
Tomorrow we go to Santa Fe.
