Everyone was mostly awake and sort of asleep for my 0800 wake up rounds. I walked into Tyrone, Justin and Jacob’s room. Jacob was asleep so I picked up one of his pillows and hit him on the head. He yelled at me and I said, “get up you lazy bum”. Then we packed our stuff into the truck and drove out of Atlanta to where they would drop us off to start our ride. I rode the first leg with Tim and Jacob. I had a smaller bike than them so I had to work a lot harder to keep up. I tried to pick up the pace and then I started breathing wrong so I went even slower. Then I changed my gears and slowed down my breathing and was getting faster. My dad was riding with us today to help us with our riding as a group. When Tim and Jacob would do something wrong my dad would tell them to stop what they were doing. Then we caught up to the Penske truck and put our bikes away so we could leapfrog Ally and Tyrone. Then Justin, Tim and Jacob rode the next leg, but Tim had quit early because he got dizzy on his bike. Not long after that everyone got pulled off the road because there was a really bad thunder and lightning storm. Then it was our turn to go to Tuscaloosa, AL to get the hotel for the night. When we got there outside the second hotel we went to, a man at the stop light in his truck pulled out his gun and shot out the window of the car next to him and then ran away. The people in the hotel called the police. We never did find out why he did it but we managed to get past before the police blocked the road for everyone. When we drove past there was a little boy in the front seat that way saying, Daddy, Daddy come back Daddy”, which made me feel sad for the boy. We got our hotel room and my dad and I went to get some dinner and Blake the bartender at the Chili’s restaurant made me a milk shake and we talked about our ride. When I got back to the hotel and took a shower I had a rash from the shampoo at last nights hotel. My dad gave me some benadryl and I fell asleep while writing this entry zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………
