| 4-10-08 “Windy Day” |
|
|
I woke up to my dad getting ready to ride even though it was his last day. While my dad was riding, we drove to meet him. My mom and Tyrone were with him. Tyrone rode today in a really big wind storm. Road signs were being blown off. It was crazy. I couldn’t ride because I am so small I would have been blown off the bike. We finally caught up to my dad and I had to say good bye because he had to get to his flight back to Seattle. Then we went to see the Mayor of Capitan and Smokey Bear. Smokey Bear was big and brown. We had lunch there and took some pictures. We left to go to another event in Alamogordo. We had an interview with channel 19 News, kind of like King 5 News. We planted trees with people from the city and Motel 6. Mr. Thomsen got us rooms at Motel 6. We got all of our stuff out of the Penske and went up to our room where I wrote my journal. Writing journals is hard for me. Sometimes I can’t spell words, which makes me mad. I ask for help from my mom. It’s hard to sit in the car for a long time. Your tush hurts. You get bored, but I am really excited when it's my turn to ride. |
