3-30-08 Crossing the country in 4 hours Print

We were lucky to get sponsored flights from Alaska.  Unfortunately, they were to Newark, so we had to fly and then drive 200 miles.  We could buy a dige-player on the plane, so I watched “Jouno” without sound and “Dude where is my car” but I had sound for this movie. It's really strange watching a movie without sound, so I made up the words just for fun. I did that for hours and then we finally arrived at the airport 11:00pm.

After we arrived, we rented a car because Thomsen and the other drivers were held up by the snow storms in the mid west and they would have been really late picking us up. So we had a 4 hour drive with a GPS that was very annoying so late at night. Jeff suggested we get some sleep because he figured we were not going to arrive until 4 in the morning so I tried sleeping on Tim's back pack but my neck said no so I didn't get any sleep during the ride.

When we did arrive my neck was killing me and I had that jet lag.  By the time we got our rooms we got to sleep at 5am.   It was a very long day.
